To Apply, Cadet Prospects Must:

  • participate in a trial period by attending three (3) Squadron meetings before requesting membership,

    • Cadets and their Parents are invited to attend a Squadron Open House or visit a MONDAY Meeting.

    • Complete a total of 3 Squadron Visits (attending an Open House counts as one). This allows Prospective Cadets and their Parents the opportunity to get a good feel for what the program has to offer, what the expectations are for cadet participation, and to have any questions answered.

    • Express your interest in joining and request a Membership Board from the Deputy Commander for Cadets. A Membership Board allows both the Prospective Cadet and their Parents, and Squadron Leadership to discuss the details of membership before officially applying for membership.

JOIN ONLINE AS A CADET

Are you interested in becoming a cadet? Please follow this process.

(1)  Visit Your Local Squadron

Cadet life is an experience, so prospective cadets must visit their local squadron (virtually or in-person).  After the second visit, prospective cadets may apply for membership online, and then local leaders may approve the application after the third visit. To apply for cadet membership online, you will need your unit's charter number, which is available only from your local leaders. To find squadrons near you, visit our locator page and enter your zip code.

Returning / Lapsed Cadets:  Please visit your squadron and reapply for membership using the hard copy CAPF 15. Unfortunately, we cannot reinstate lapsed cadets via this online process.

(2)  Apply for Membership

To submit an application for cadet membership, visit the Online Cadet Membership Application page. Youth will need a parent or guardian at their side as they complete the online form and make payment via credit card. The squadron commander (or designee) may approve your application after you participate in your third squadron meeting.

For Staff:  When the prospective cadet and parent or guardian completes the online application, it will appear in the Commander’s Corner in eServices for approval. Deputy commanders, personnel officers, and administrative officers are automatically authorized to approve applications on behalf of the unit commander via the Commander’s Corner in eServices. Any number of senior members may be assigned as assistant personnel or administrative officers, so units have a lot of flexibility.

(3)  Look for a Welcome Email

Check your email for a note confirming your membership. If your squadron denies your membership application for some reason, you'll receive word via email and your credit card will be refunded.
